This writ petition was disposed of vide the order dated 20th January 2025. The Petitioner was directed to deposit Rs.50,000/- to Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa. It was directed to be deposited before 10th February 2025 as is recorded in the order dated 20th January 2025. That period was extended vide the order dated 14th February 2025 by period of two weeks. Even then, till today, the amount could not be deposited.

The learned counsel for the Petitioner submitted that the Petitioner had undergone knee surgery, therefore, he was not in a position to comply with the order immediately. However, the amount is absolutely ready now and it can be deposited immediately.

Considering this submission and in the interest of justice, the Petitioner is permitted to deposit the cost as directed earlier within a period of two weeks from today and produce the acknowledgment in the Registry within that period. If such acknowledgment is produced, there shall be no reference to the Court. If the cost is not deposited within stipulated period, the matter be placed before the Court for further consideration.
