2/3 907 WP 6083-24.doc is filed by her in-laws, praying for quashing and setting aside of the subject FIR, being C.R.No.285/2024 registered with Adgaon Police Station Nasik City.

During the pendency of the Writ Petition seeking quashing and setting aside of the FIR, we are informed that a settlement is worked out between the parties and this was placed before the Court dealing with Anticipatory Bail Application No.3472/2024 filed by the petitioner no.1 and on being taken on record, it is reflected in the order dated 24/11/2025.

Today, we have an affidavit filed by the complainant i.e. respondent no.2 who is present in the Court. The affidavit affirmed by her on 26/11/2025 categorically state thus :- "4 That, over the period of time and due to certain misunderstandings and circumstances that ensued between me, my husband and my in-laws, our relations got sourced.

That, I filed complaint bearing CR No.285/2024 registered with the Adgaon police station against my husband, my father-in-law, mother-in-law and brotherin-law for offences punishable u/s. 377, 498(A), 504, 506, 406 r/w 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

That, thereafter, both the parties have realised their mistakes and with the intervention of elderly members and the learned Mediator appointed by this Hon'ble Court, the parties have decided to end the differences between me, my husband and in-laws."

The affidavit also make a mention to the terms which were mutually agreed between the parties and placed before the Court in Anticipatory Bail Application, by specifically

3/3 907 WP 6083-24.doc stating that both the parties have realised their mistake and with the intervention of the elderly members of the family, they they have decided to bury the hatchet and leave their life independent of each other by filing appropriate proceedings. In paragraph no.9, he has specifically accorded consent to quash the subject FIR filed by her involving her husband, mother-in-law father-in-law and brother-in-law. ..

The affidavit is taken on record. The deponent of the affidavit Ms.Priyanka Hande @ Priyanka Ashok Pawar is present before the Court and she has confirmed before us that the affidavit is filed by her by her on her own free will and without any coercion or pressure and she will abide by the terms and conditions stipulated in the affidavit. In the wake of the aforesaid, since the parties have settled their dispute amicably and the dispute having no involvement of public, but purely personal in nature, arising out of a matrimonial discord, we deem it appropriate to exercise our inherent jurisdiction to quash and set aside the subject FIR registered against the accused persons at the instance of the complainant.

Writ Petition Nos.6083/2024 and WP 6199/2024 aremade absolute in the aforesaid terms.
