MEGHA SHREEDHAR PARAB 3) The concerned Investigating Officer shall record statement of Respondent No.2 as to whether she desires to engage private advocate or to avail services of Legal Aid Panel Advocate. The statement shall be produced on the next date of hearing.

4) Prima facie it appears that the Appellant has threatened Respondent No.2 by making reference to the photographs of Respondent No.2 available with him. In that view of the matter though the Appellant can be granted interim protection till Respondent No.2 puts her appearance in the appeal, it is necessary that entire material in possession of the Appellant is recovered and for that purpose the Appellant shall remain present in the concerned police station for completion of the investigation. 5) Accordingly, by way of interim relief it is directed as under:- (a) In the event of arrest of the Appellant in connection with C.R. No.193 of 2024 registered with Miraj City Police Station, District-Sangli, the Appellant shall be released on interim bail on furnishing P.R. bonds in the sum of Rs.25,000/- with one or two solvent sureties in the like amount.

(b) The Appellant shall remain present before the concerned police station on 22/07/2024, 23/07/2024 and 24/07/2024 between 11.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. and shall produce his mobile phone as well as all relevant material involved in the alleged offence and shall co-operate with conduct of investigations.

(c)The Appellant shall not contact Respondent No.2 in any manner.

(d) Appellant shall furnish identity and address proof of himself and of his two blood relatives while furnishing sureties.

(e) Appellant shall attend Trial Court regularly unless exempted from personal appearance.

(f ) Appellant shall not pressurize Respondent No.2 or any other witnesses acquainted with the facts of the case nor shall tamper with the evidence either directly or indirectly. (g) The Appellant shall inform his latest place of residence and mobile contact number immediately after being released on bail and/or change of residence or mobile details, if any, from time to time to the Trial Court as well as to the concerned Police Station in writing.

6) It is specifically made clear that if the Appellant tries to contact Respondent No.2 either indirectly or directly, the interim protection would forthwith be withdrawn.

7) Stand over to 7 August 2024.
