By the last order dated 6.4.2026, this court in its order at paragraph Nos.2, 3, and 4 has noted, as under: "2. Learned Amicus Curiae has apprised us of the development in the investigation where additional evidence is collected against the persons responsible for the alleged illegalities attracting offences under the provisions of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 and other provisions.
3. Learned Amicus Curiae submits that copy of the report has been given to him by the SIT, which it shall continue to do so till filing of the final report.
4. The status report filed before us shall be kept in the sealed envelope. SIT shall complete investigation as expeditiously as possible possible and preferably by 30.4.2026."

Today, learned AGP for the State has tendered across the bar Status Report in a sealed envelope, which was opened in the court. It appears that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) has commenced the investigation in respect of role played by the Central Registrar of the Cooperative Societies and the Police Officials. It also states that further investigation as far as Crime Nos.294/2022, 327/2023, and .....3/-
21/2023 are concluded and closed. Whereas, some more time is required to conclude the investigation in connection with Crime Nos.58/2025 and 413/2025.

Learned Amicus Curiae has also apprised us as to development of the investigation where additional evidence is collected against persons responsible for the alleged illegalities attracting the offence under the provisions of the IPC and and other provisions. The copy of the report has been given to learned Amicus Curiae by the SIT, which it shall continue to do so till filing of the final report. He has also placed on record communication dated 24.4.2026 and invited our attention towards paragraph No.8, which is reproduced as under:
"Accordingly, the Society is hereby prohibited, with immediate effect, from taking fresh/new deposits, contributions or investments from its members in any form or renew any existing deposits until further order."
Thus, he submitted that further activities of the business of the said Society are already prohibited by the Ministry. He also placed on record other communication dated 29.4.2026 issued by the Government of India, Ministry of Cooperation, and submitted that Forensic Audit of "Nirmal Ujjwal Credit Cooperative Society Ltd., Nagpur is directed to be continued by mentioning some points.

The Status Report filed before us is kept on record in a sealed envelope.

The SIT shall complete the investigation expeditiously on or before 30.5.2026 and shall not seek further extension for completion of the investigation. 7.
The communications placed on record are marked as Exhs."A" and "B"

List the matters for further consideration on 8.6.2026.
