2] The incident of theft, reported by the petitioner, was in respect of theft of about three kilograms of gold. The investigation papers reveal that on the basis of CCTV footage, the accused persons were arrested. Some of them, during the course of interrogation, stated that the ornaments were sold for Rs.33,00,000/-. There is, however, no investigation as to why is this amount not recovered or what steps were taken to recover this amount.

3] The learned A.P.P. shall take instructions from the Investigating Officer as to what steps were taken to recover the aforesaid amount.
