The petitioner claims that he got married with daughter of respondent N0.4 on 19.12.2023. However, since, beginning respondent No.4, who is the father of lady did not allow her to reside with petitioner and therefore, a writ of habeas corpus.

We have issued notice with a direction to respondent No.4 to keep his daughter present. In pursuance of our notice, respondent No.4 has appeared through advocate as well as his daughter is also present. 4.
We have inquired with the daughter in open Court about the contentions raised in the petition. She has stated her date of birth as 13.09.2004 meaning thereby she is 19 years of age. She has stated that since Kavita
2-wp-351-24.odt 2/2 beginning she is staying with her father respondent No.4 and did not reside with petitioner at any point of time. She has specifically stated that willingly she is staying with her father and expressed to continue to reside with her father.

In view of above, we are sure that there is no wrongful confinement rather a lady is residing willingly with her father. In the circumstances, petition carries no merits. Hence dismissed.
