The petitioner has applied for regular parole on the count of illness of his wife. The authority has rejected on the ground that, when the petitioner was released on Covid parole, he went absconding and has been arrested and brought back on 30.06.2023 i.e. after 377 days.

Having regard to the length of abscondence, we are not inclined to entertain this Writ Petition. The Writ Petition stands disposed of with liberty to apply afresh after six months.
