Post conviction, the petitioner has undergone morethan sixteen years of imprisonment. The prayer for furlough leave is rejected on the ground of the adverse police report. 3.

We have perused the order impugned.

There is no basis to have the adverse police report against the petitioner, particularly, when on all eighteen occasions he availed the leave and he surrendered well within time and his conduct during such period was not objectionable.

There is not impediment to order release. In such an eventuality, the impugned order dated 07.06.2024 is quashed and set aside. It is directed that the applicant as Kavita
