By this petition, the petitioner, who is an accused in Crime No.505 of 2020 has raised the challenge to the administrative order issued by the State Government by which the Special Public Prosecutor has been appointed for a particular purpose. The learned Public Prosecutor is appointed on the premise that the order under challenge is not lie under criminal writ petition, as it is an administrative order.

Though the appointment has been made in terms of power conferred under Section 24(8) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, however, it is purely an administrative order, therefore, maintainability of this Writ Petition before this Bench is in-applicable. 4.

Registrar (Judicial) to verify and place this Writ Petition before the appropriate Bench.
