The challenge is to the opinion rendered by the Convicting Court on the issue of grant of remission in view of the directions issued under Section 432(1) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

Whether the benefit of the remission can be extended to the petitioner is an issue yet to be decided by the Compete Authority.

That being so, we dispose of the Writ Petition. 5.

Let the Competent Authority take a decision regarding entitlement of the petitioner for remission as prayed.
