The petitioner claiming to be the next friend of Miss X has sought production of said Miss X, the daughter of the respondent Nos.5 and 6, before this Court so as to ascertain her wish, as it is claimed that said Miss X is forced by her parents to marry with some other person in spite of there being a notice of registration of marriage issued vide Annexure-3 dated July 21, 2024 with the petitioner. 2.
Initially, we have called the police report in the matter, and the statements of the respondent Nos.5 and 6 and also of the victim girl were produced for perusal of this Court. These statements reflect that the victim girl was not willing to join the company of the petitioner. 3.
Since it was insisted that this Court should interact with the victim girl so as to ascertain her own wish, the victim girl is produced by the respondent No.3, who has brought her in Chamber in the presence of Shri B.W. Patil, assisted by Ms Aakanksha Meshram, learned counsel for the petitioner, and Smt. Mayuri Deshmukh, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent Nos.1 to 4.

The victim girl has specifically stated before this Court that she does not want to live in the company of the petitioner and the relations of friendship are already severed.

Subsequent to the aforesaid interaction, which has occurred in the presence of the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent Nos.1 to 4, we have also called the respondent No.6, the mother of the victim girl, who has endorsed as to what has transpired and stated by the victim girl. 6.
In this background, we post this matter tomorrow, i.e. on December 11, 2024.
