Heard the learned counsel for the applicant and learned APP for the respondent-State.

The applicant seeks bail in Crime No.306 of 2022, registered with Chakur Police Station, District Latur, for the offences punishable under Sections 302, 323, 504 read with Section 34 of the IPC.

The learned counsel for the applicant submits that this is a successive bail application. The bail was sought on the ground that there was no progress in the trial. The applicant is in jail for two years.

The offence is serious. The wife of the applicant had been killed. Considering the gravity of the offence and the

Amit Kumar @ Bachcha Rai ; (2017) 13 SCC 751 in such a serious crime the incarceration may not be a ground for bail. Be that as it may, the charges have been framed. So, there is hope that the trial may conclude within a reasonable period subject to co-operation of the accused, the learned counsel for the applicant and learned Public Prosecutor. Hence, bail application stands rejected.
