Perused the reports given by learned Principal District and Sessions Judge, Beed and learned Principal District and Sessions Judge, Ahmednagar. It is stated that some incidences have happened and, therefore, there is necessity for the action to be taken. We are aware that in view of our earlier orders the Government
has taken up the matter and in the meeting of Hon'ble the Ministers a resolution has been passed for giving security by deploying additional force of around 8282 persons to be taken from the Maharashtra State Security Corporation. We are awaiting the Government Resolution to come up and also as to how the funds would be made available, since those persons would be deployed in three stages. However, taking into consideration these incidences as a stop gap arrangement directions are required to be given to the District Superintendent of Police to provide adequate security.
Learned Principal District and Sessions Judge, Beed informs that 08 Judicial Officers' quarters are situated in old Court premises at Majalgaon and compound wall on Northern side had collapsed partially in March, 2025, which appears to be the encroachment committed on the adjoining land. Due to collapse of walls the hawkers, unauthorized persons and anti social elements are easily entering the premises meant for Judicial Officers' residence, which is causing security problem to family members. It appears that after taking due procedure, a letter was issued to Chief Officer, Municipal Council, Majalgaon regarding removal of encroachment.
Regional and Town Planning Act, 1966. Thereafter, it appears that in respect of building of compound wall plan was got prepared and sent to the Building Committee of this Court. This Court has approved the said proposal. Further, it was sent to the Department of Law and Judiciary and it has also approved and sanctioned amount of Rs.160.28 lakhs for the construction of compound wall on 25.08.2025. It appears that during interim period a temporary wall has been constructed, however, it has not stopped the activities. Since no security police personnel are provided by the Police Department, we direct District Superintendent of Police, Beed to provide adequate security persons for the day as well as night time at Majalgaon.
As regards the report received from learned Principal District and Sessions Judge, Ahmednagar, it has been informed that during Diwali vacation of this year, there was house breaking in two Judicial Officers' residential quarters i.e. in the intervening night of 25th and 26th October, 2025. The lockers of cupboards and doors of both quarters appears to have been broken. Then it is also reported that on 02.11.2025 leopard was roaming around the Court premises and on 17.11.2025 there was theft committed in the canteen situated in the Court premises by breaking open the lock of cash counter and cash has been stolen.

It is also stated that one sensitive case is going on, wherein the issue involved is in respect of murder of an Advocate. Under such circumstance, it appears that learned Principal District and Sessions Judge, Ahmednagar had requested Superintendent of Police, Ahilyanagar to deploy guards in the Court premises. Therefore, taking it on the judicial side, we direct Superintendent of Police, Ahilyanagar to provide adequate police personnel in day as well as night time at the Court premises as well as around the residential quarters of the Judicial Officers. He should also consider that adequate police staff is deployed on the date of hearing of that sensitive matter. He may also consider deploying one police person with gun at night time in the Court premises at Rahuri.
We request learned PP to inform this order to Superintendent of Police, Beed as well as Superintendent of Police, Ahilyanagar. Stand over to 04.12.2025.
