P.C.:- 1) The Application seeks quashing of the F.I.R vide C.R. No.132 of 2024 dated 10th February 2024 registered with the Dahisar Police Station, Mumbai for offences punishable under Sections 498-A, 323, 504 and 506 read with 34 of the Indian Penal Code. 2) The Applicant No.1 is the husband of the Respondent No.2/first informant. The Applicant Nos. 2 and 3 are her parents-inlaw and Applicant No.4 is her sister-in-law. 3) It is the allegations of the Respondent No.2 as appearing in the F.I.R that she is married with the Applicant No.1 on 31st May 2022. 1/3
According to her, the Applicants have treated her with cruelty and used to taunt her on petty grounds. They used to abuse her and mentally harass her in addition to beating her with their hands and threatening her that the Applicant No.1 will divorce her if she does not follow their instructions.
4) She states that even after returning to her parent's house, the Applicant No.1 and his family members while going to the clinic have harassed her and have caused the mental trauma. On these and another grounds, she has filed the impugned F.I.R. The investigation is on going and the chargesheet has not yet been filed. 5) In the meantime, the parties arrived at mutually acceptable terms and Consent Terms were filed before the Family Court at Bandra.
6) The Respondent No.2 is present in Court today and she is identified by her counsel. She has filed an Affidavit dated 6th December 2024 affirmed before a Notary Public. In paragraph No.7 she has given her no objections for quashing the present F.I.R. She has also stated that she has no grievance against the Applicants and she is ready to give her consent for quashing the F.I.R and criminal proceedings, if any, arising therefrom.

7) In these circumstances, it is clear that the dispute between the parties is purely personal in nature and there is no impediment in quashing the impugned F.I.R more soever since, the Respondent No.2 has given her consent.
8) In these circumstances, the F.I.R vide C.R. No.132 of 2024 dated 10th February 2024 registered with the Dahisar Police Station, Mumbai is quashed and set aside.
9) The Application is disposed of accordingly.
