In this application, notice was issued to respondent No.2 as it concerns offence under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012. By order dated 08.01.2024, this Court (Coram: N. J. Jamadar, J) specifically directed that respondent No.2 would be served through the investigating officer, for which purpose the applicant would furnish a copy of the application to the investigating officer. Till date, it is not clear whether the investigating officer has served respondent No.2 or not. 2.

If respondent No.2 is not already served, the investigating officer shall do so immediately and in any case, within one week from today. 3.

If respondent No.2 is unable to engage an advocate to represent her, the High Court Legal Services Committee shall appoint an advocate from its panel within one week thereafter.
