During the course of arguments, the learned APP submitted that the learned counsel for the applicant is not justified in harping upon a number that is mentioned on the label affixed on the box seized with the bottles containing contraband codeine. It is contended that the label does not show the FIR number or C.R. number, but it simply reflects the number relevant for the seized contraband. The said number is not FIR No.310 of 2023, but Muddemal Register No.190 of 2023.

Since the copy of the relevant document at page No.53 of the application and another copy tendered by the learned APP are not very clear, the learned APP is requested to produce a clearer/coloured copy of the said document on the next date of listing. He shall also take instructions as to the manner in which the Muddemal Register number is obtained, when seizure panchanamas are executed.
