Heard Mr. Pethe, learned APP for Respondent No.1 and Ms. Balasubramaniam, learned Advocate for Respondent No.2 appointed through Court.

The present Application was disposed by order dated 04.07.2024. Ms. Balasubramaniam, learned Advocate appears on behalf of Respondent No.2. She was appointed by the Court. She would submit that the Bail Application having been disposed of, the direction was given by this Court to Trial Court to conclude the trial as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of 6 months. 4.

Learned Sessions Judge has addressed a letter dated 10.02.2025 to Hon'ble Registrar - Judicial - II for seeking extension of

25.BA.574.2024.doc time to dispose of Special case. I have perused the letter and reasons given in that letter. The unfortunate part is that out of 24 witnesses whose names and details were given to the Trial Court, witness action of one prosecution witness has been completed till date. It is stated by the learned Sessions Judge that accused persons and their Advocates are not cooperating in the Court for disposal of case and further that witness had not remained present on last 16 dates of trial beginning from 21.08.2024 pursuant to order dated 04.07.2024. 5.

In view of the above, I see no reason as to why extension should not be granted. Request made by learned Judge stands allowed. Time to complete trial in Special Case No.131 of 2021 stands extended by further period of one year from today. H. H. SAWANT [ MILIND N.
