After having argued for some time and when this Court was not inclined to grant relief, the learned counsel for the applicant, on instructions, sought permission to withdraw the application. 2.
However, he submitted that this Court may issue appropriate directions to the concerned Court, for the reason that from June, 2023, the proceedings have been listed before the concerned Court for framing of charge and merely dates have been granted and charge is yet to be framed. The applicant has also not been produced before the concerned Court. 3.
The list of witnesses annexed to the charge-sheet shows that the prosecution intends to examine 22 witnesses. In practical terms fewer witnesses would be examined and in that light appropriate directions can be Shrikant Malani

In view of the above, the application is disposed of as withdrawn. The concerned Court where the trial is pending is directed to frame the charge within six weeks from today and to complete the trial on or before 30.11.2025. 5.
In the event, the trial is not completed within the said period of time and the delay is not attributable to the applicant, liberty is reserved for the applicant to renew his prayer for bail.
