In this application, offence under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 is also registered against the applicant, apart from offence under Section 354 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860. The victim is made party respondent No.2, who is said to be present in Court today. It would be appropriate that she is granted legal aid. 2.

Accordingly, the High Court Legal Services Committee is directed to appoint an advocate from its panel to represent respondent No.2. The applicant shall furnish a copy of the application to the office of the High Court Legal Services Committee within one week from today. 3.
