In this case, offences under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 (POCSO Act) are also registered and therefore, it would be necessary to issue notice to the victim, who is already added as respondent No.2 in the application. 2.

Issue notice to respondent No.2, returnable on 3rd October 2024, to be included in the supplementary list. 3.

The respondent No.2 shall be served through the Investigating Officer, for which purpose the applicant shall furnish an additional set of papers to the Investigating Officer within one week from today.

If the respondent No.2 desires to avail legal aid, the High Court Legal Services Committee shall forthwith appoint an

The aforesaid directions are being given considering the fact that the applicant has already suffered incarceration for more than five years and three months.
