By order dated 08.04.2024, while issuing notice, this Court directed the investigating officer to serve a copy of the application on respondent No.2 and to file report of service.

The learned APP, on instructions, submits that the victim-respondent No.2 could not be traced and in that light, this Court may consider appointing an advocate from the panel of High Court Legal Services Committee, so that the application can be taken up for consideration. 3.

In view of the above, the High Court Legal Services Committee is directed to appoint an advocate from its panel immediately, for representing respondent No.2.

The applicant shall serve a copy of the aforesaid application on the High Court Legal Services Committee within one week from today. 5.

Since the applicant has remained behind bars for about 51⁄2 years, list the application for further consideration on 11.09.2024 at the end of the supplementary list.
