1. In the present matter, the learned APP makes a statement that 22 witnesses (victims) have been examined out of 32 witnesses and it is pointed out that hardly 4-5 witnesses are remained to be examined.
2. In the circumstances, considering the seriousness of the offence and after going through the statements of the witnesses, it can be seen that the offence is heinous one, I am of the opinion that, in the peculiar facts of the present case that the applicant is in jail from last 10 years, the purpose would be served if the trial Court is directed to conclude the trial within six months. 3. Accordingly, the application is disposed of with direction to the trial Court to conclude the trial within next six months.
4. The learned counsel for the applicant undertakes to cooperate the trial Court to conclude the trial within the stipulated period.
5. The learned counsel for the applicant further undertakes to place copy of this order on the record of the trial Court within two weeks.
