In the present Application, Applicant is a woman. She is indicted in the offences punishable under Sections 8 and 12 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012; Section 67B of the Information Technology Act, 2000 and Section 80 of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015. 4.

The incident in question is of the year 2021 and the cognizance of which was taken only in the year 2023 when the FIR is lodged. Applicant is incarcerated for 1 year and 9 months. I am informed that Respondent No.1 has filed Affidavit-in-Reply.
