On 18th April 2024, this Court had issued notice to respondent No.2 and it was directed that the Investigating Officer shall serve the said respondent.

The learned counsel for the applicant submits that a spare copy was served on the office of the public prosecutor. But, the office note shows that notice could not be issued. It appears that since the spare copy was not handed over to the Investigating Officer, further steps could not be taken.

In view of the above, the applicant shall ensure that a spare copy is served on the Investigating Officer within one week from today. The Investigating Officer shall ensure service upon respondent No.2 within one week thereafter and submit a report before this Court.
