The learned counsel for the applicant points out that the applicant is in jail from last six years. However, he fairly states that there are about 5 witnesses and two have been already examined. 2.

Thus, considering the present status of the trial and considering the period of incarceration, I am of the opinion that the purpose would be served if the trial Court is directed to conclude the trial by 31st January 2025.

Accordingly, the application is disposed of with direction to the learned trial Court to conclude the trial on or before 31st January 2025.

The learned counsel for the applicant and the learned APP undertake to co-operate the trial Court for concluding the trial within stipulated period.

Liberty is granted to the applicant to apply fresh before the trial Court if the trial is not concluded as directed by this Court within stipulated period.

The learned counsel for the applicant undertakes to submit that copy of this order on the record of the trial Court within two weeks from today.
