DATED : 8th MAY, 2024 P.C:- On 10/03/2023, while hearing the third bail application, of the applicant, who was incarcerated for more than four years, with two young daughters, request was made to the Sessions Judge to expedite the trial and preferably by fixing a calender chalking out the program for conduct of the trial. The proceedings were directed to be concluded on or before 30/04/2024.

The counsel for the applicant submit that no such steps have been taken by the learned Sessions Judge, who is seized of Sessions Case No. 907 of 2019.

I deem it appropriate to call for an explanation from the Sessions Judge, Pune, who is seized of Sessions Case No.907 Ashish

2/2 6 IA 1814-24.doc of 2019, as to why the directions issued by this Court are not followed. Since, learned counsel for the applicant has informed that the trial has not yet even commenced. It appears that the Sessions Judge is either unaware of this order, or he do not bother to comply this order.

Let the above order be communicated to the Sessions Judge, who shall submit the explanation within period of four weeks from its receipt.
