Ms. Bajpai, learned counsel for the applicant submits that respondent No.2 - victim was to be served with notice as offences under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 were also registered. For that purpose, papers were made available to the investigating officer for service on respondent No.2. Yet, there is no report of service produced before this Court. Order issuing notice to respondent No.2 was passed as far back as on 29.04.2024. 2.

In view of the above, the learned APP to take specific instructions regarding service of notice on respondent No.2. If the respondent No.2 is not yet served, she shall be served immediately and in any case, within one week from today.

Upon service, if the respondent No.2 is unable to engage an advocate, the High Court Legal Services Committee shall appoint the advocate from its panel to represent her.
