The learned counsel for the applicant submits that the applicant has remained behind bars since 22nd February, 2017 i.e. for a period of more than 7 years. It is brought to the notice of this Court that accused No.8 was granted bail by the Sessions Court and the applicant claims that since a similar role is ascribed to him, he is entitled to relief on the ground of parity. This Court is further informed that some of the other accused persons were granted bail by this Court.

The learned Special PP informs this Court that bail applications of two other accused persons are listed for consideration before this Court on 16th July, 2024. He further seeks short adjournment to file reply affidavit in this application.
