After arguing for some time, learned counsel for the Applicant did not press this application. His grievance is that the Trial has not yet started. The Applicant is arrested on 22/07/2020. He submitted that directions be issued to the Trial Court to commence and conclude the trial at the earliest. He seeks liberty to make a fresh bail application if there is no substantial progress in the trial in the next four months. 2.

The Applicant was immediately named in the F.I.R. as Digitally signed by MANUSHREE NESARIKAR Date:

Considering these submissions, the application is permitted to be withdrawn. The Trial Court shall take up the trial at the earliest and try to complete it as far as possible within a period of six months from today.

To strike a balance, considering seriousness of the offence and the Applicant's detention as an undertrial prisoner, if there is no substantial progress in the trial within four months from today, the Applicant is at liberty to make a fresh application for bail. It is made clear that the defence shall cooperate with the fast disposal of the trial.

With these observations, the application is disposed of as withdrawn.
