Heard learned counsel for the applicant. It is submitted that the papers pertaining to this application have been served on respondent No.1Narcotics Control Bureau, Mumbai. Yet, there is no representation on behalf of the said respondent.

The learned APP has appeared for respondent No.2-State. 3.

It is brought to the notice of this Court that a bail application filed by a co-accused was withdrawn before this Court on 01.11.2023, when this Court Digitally signed by PRIYA KAMBLI Date:

2024.06.13 10:46:37 +0530 directed the trial court to dispose of the case within a period of six months PRIYA KAMBLI from the date of the order.

It is submitted that not a single witness has been examined till date. In the order dated 04.05.2024 passed by the Court of Additional Sessions Judge, Thane rejecting the bail application of the applicant, it has been 1/2

2_BA_2145_24.doc observed that the said Court has sent a request letter dated 24.04.2024 to this Court, seeking extension for a period of one year for disposing of the case.

Since there is no appearance on behalf of respondent No.1, hearing of this application is adjourned to 24.06.2024.

In the meanwhile, the registry is directed to submit an office report as to whether this Court has considered the letter for extension, moved by the trial court.
