After having argued for some time and when this Court was inclined to dismiss the application, the learned counsel for the applicant, on instructions, sought permission to withdraw the application. But, a request was made to issue an appropriate directions for expediting the trial, considering the fact that only 9 witnesses have been cited by the Investigating Authority in the charge-sheet.

In view of the above, the application is dismissed as withdrawn. 3.

However, considering the fact that only 9 witnesses have been cited and in practical terms fewer witnesses are examined during the course of trial, the concerned Court is directed to expedite the trial and to complete the same within 9 Months from today.
