In this application, the learned counsel for the applicant submits that the applicant has suffered incarceration for a period of more than 7 years and that only one witness has been examined although there are 18 witnesses proposed to be examined by the prosecution.

On the other hand, the learned APP, on instructions, submits that 6 witnesses have been examined and the trial can be completed within the foreseeable future.
