Heard Mr. Gadhave, learned counsel for the applicant and Mr.Holambe-Patil, learned APP for the respondent-State. 2.

By this application, the applicant seeks release on interim bail in order to attend the wedding of his sister, which is fixed for tomorrow (10.07.2024). In the first instance, the applicant had moved an application before the Special Court (POCSO), but the said application was rejected by an order dated 19.06.2024, inter alia, on the ground that since the marriage is to be solemnized in Bihar, there is no assurance that the applicant would return back.

This Court has considered the material on record. The bail application of the applicant on merits was rejected by the Special Court and even by this Court. The offences registered against the applicant are serious, which include offences under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012.

This Court is of the opinion that the present application does not make out sufficient grounds for releasing the applicant on interim bail as MINAL SANDIP PARAB by MINAL SANDIP PARAB Date:

20_BA2756_24.doc is to be conducted in Bihar and there would always be an apprehension as to whether the applicant facing trial for such serious offences would be available for trial.

In any case, the marriage ceremony is slated for tomorrow and this Court is of the opinion that no ground is made out for considering the prayer favourably.

Hence, the application is rejected.
