At the outset, the learned counsel for the applicant, on instructions, submits that the applicant is interested more in expediting the trial, as the evidence has already commenced. It is submitted that the application can be withdrawn, if this Court is pleased to issue appropriate directions for expeditious disposal of the trial.

The learned APP informs this Court that list of witnesses in the charge-sheet shows 24 witnesses, but fewer witnesses would be examined. The evidence of the first witness is already recorded and now the next date before the concerned Court is 10th September 2024.

In view of the above, the application is disposed of as withdrawn.

However, the concerned trial Court is directed to expedite the trial proceedings and to ensure that, in any case, the trial is completed on or before 30th June 2025.
