It is pointed out that earlier bail application of the applicant was dismissed as withdrawn as per order dated 28.02.2024 passed by this Court (Coram : Prithviraj K. Chavan, J.) in Criminal Bail Application No.2623 of 2022. In the said order, this Court had directed the trial Court to frame charge within two weeks from the date of the order and to commence trial by recording of evidence of the prosecution witnesses. It was also indicated that the trial Court shall make an endeavour to conclude the trial as expeditiously as possible, and in any case, before 10.05.2024.

According to the learned counsel for the applicant, after the said order was passed, only charge has been framed on 23.10.2024 and evidence is yet to commence. It is indicated that there are at least 34 witnesses to be examined by the prosecution.

In these circumstances, the concerned trial Court i.e. Additional Sessions Judge, Thane is directed to submit a report about the present MINAL SANDIP PARAB MINAL SANDIP PARAB Date: 2024.12.03 18:00:10 +0530 status of the trial on or before 12.12.2024.
