This is an application for regular bail.

The applicant came to be arrested in Crime No. 274 of 2020 registered at Chiplun Police Station, Dist-Ratnagiri, for the offences punishable under Sections 366(A), 370, 376(2)(n) of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 4, 8 & 12 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and Sections 3, 4 & 5 of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956.

I have heard the learned counsel for the applicant and the learned APP for the respondent/State and learned counsel for the respondent No.2/Victim.

According to the prosecution, the co-accused in the present crime took the victim, who at the relevant time Pramod Lakare
912-BA-2866-2024.doc was minor to different hotels and forced her to indulge in prostitution activity.

The present applicant is the owner of one such hotels. The applicant is in jail for more than one year. There are no criminal antecedents against him. 6.
Considering the overall facts and circumstances of the case, I am inclined to release the applicant on bail. In the result, the following order is passed:
O R D E R
A] The Application is allowed.
B] The applicant be released on bail in Crime No. 274 of 2020 registered at Chiplun Police Station, Dist-Ratnagiri, for the offences punishable under Sections 366(A), 370, 376(2)(n) of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 4, 8 & 12 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and Sections 3, 4 & 5 of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956 on furnishing P.R Bond in the sum of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand) with one or two sureties in the like amount.
C] The applicant shall attend the concerned police station once in a month, i.e., on first Saturday between 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, till conclusion of the trial.
D] The applicant shall not tamper with the prosecution evidence.

Application stands disposed of accordingly.
