In the past, vide the order passed in Criminal Bail Application No. 2008 of 2023 dated 31.08.2023, this Court had made the Trial time bound and had requested the Trial Judge to conclude the trial within four months from 31.08.2023. Thereafter, an extension was sought by the learned Trial Judge. Therefore, Digitally signed by VINOD BHASKAR GOKHALE Date:

vide the order dated 07.03.2024 the period was extended by four months from 07.03.2024. The trial is not yet concluded, though, specific period of four months is over. Therefore, it is necessary to call for the report from the Trial Court as to why these orders were not given effect to.

Learned APP has filed affidavits in both these matters. They are taken on record. The copies are served on the learned counsel for the applicants. According to the affidavits, PW-3 is being cross-examined.

Considering this situation, the following order is passed:

O R D E R

i) The Applicants shall annex a copy of the evidence recorded in the trial, till today.

ii) The learned Trial Judge shall send a report as to why the previous orders could not be given effect to and what steps are being taken to conclude the trial as early as possible.

iii) The report shall be sent to this Court on or before the next date.

iv) Stand over to 19.09.2024.

v) In the meantime, the trial shall be conducted as expeditiously as possible.
