This is a second time that the Applicant has approached this Court for his release on bail.

On the previous occasion, the Applicant had preferred Criminal Bail Application No.1464 of 2020, which was rejected by this Court vide a reasoned order dated 18th March, 2021. Thereafter the Applicant had approached the Hon'ble Supreme Court vide Special Leave Petition (Criminal) Diary No.28881 of 2023. A three judge bench of the Hon'ble Supreme Court vide the order dated 22nd November, 2023, rejected that SLP preferred by the Applicant and the bail was not granted to the Applicant. Thereafter the Applicant again approached this Court for his release on bail. BGP.

Learned counsel for the Applicant submitted that this time he is arguing on the ground of long incarceration and not on merits of the matter.

Since the Hon'ble Supreme Court has rejected the Applicant's prayer for bail by the order dated 22nd November, 2023, therefore, I do not deem it proper to entertain this Application. 5.
The Application is therefore rejected.

However, the learned Trial Judge is directed to immediately start the trial on a day to day basis and conclude it within a period of five months from today.

The accused as well as the prosecution shall co-operate with the disposal of the trial within that period. 8.
The Application is disposed of.
