In this application, Mr. Mulla, learned counsel for the applicant highlights the fact that the applicant has suffered incarceration for a period of about 6 years and 6 months.

In this context, Mr. Holambe-Patil, learned APP submits that only the investigating officer is to be examined and the trial can be completed at the earliest.

It is further brought to the notice that by an order dated 27.11.2024 passed by this Court (Coram : Bharat P. Deshpande, J.) in Criminal Bail Application No.1845 of 2024, the concerned trial Court has been directed to conclude the trial, preferably by the end of December 2024.
