This is an application for regular bail.

The applicant came to be arrested in Crime No. 628 of 2023 registered at Pimpri Police Station, for the offences punishable under Sections 307, 504 & 506 of the Indian Penal Code.

The victim is the wife of the present applicant. It is alleged that the applicant was suspecting her character and thus on the date of incident, which took place on 10.06.2023, the present applicant assaulted her by stone and attempted to commit her murder.

I have heard the learned counsel for the applicant and the learned APP for the respondent/State. 5.
The learned counsel for the applicant submits that the applicant is in jail for more than one year and nine Pramod S.Lakare
24-ba-3378-2024.doc months and the trial has not commenced. It is submitted that there are no other criminal antecedents against the applicant.

On the other hand, the learned APP for the Respondent/State submits that considering the nature of crime the applicant may not be released on bail. 7.
The applicant is in jail for more than one year and nine months and the trial is not likely to be concluded in near future as it is still at the stage of framing of charge. There are no other criminal antecedents. Considering the overall facts and circumstances, I am inclined to release the applicant on bail. In the result, the following order is passed:
O R D E R
A] The Application is allowed.
B] The applicant be released on bail in Crime No. 628 of 2023 registered at Pimpri Police Station, for the offences punishable under Sections 307, 504 & 506 of the Indian Penal Code, on furnishing P.R Bond in the sum of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand) with one or two sureties in the like amount.
C] The applicant shall attend the concerned police station once in a month, i.e., on first Saturday between 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, till conclusion of the trial.

Application stands disposed of accordingly.
