This is an application for regular bail.

The applicant came to be arrested in Crime No.358 of 2022 registered at Neral Police Station for the offences punishable under Sections 307 and 309 of the Indian Penal Code. 3.

According to the prosecution, on the date of incident, which took place on 2.12.2022 the present applicant assaulted his own wife by stone and attempted to kill her as he was suspecting that she had illicit relations. It is further alleged that after the incident, the applicant tried to hang himself.

I have heard the learned counsel for the applicant and the learned APP for the respondent - State.

The subsequent conduct of the applicant, prima facie, shows his repentance. He is in jail for about two years. Considering the Dinesh S. Sherla 1/2

17-ba-3785-24.doc overall facts and circumstances of the case, I am inclined to release the applicant on bail. In the result, the following order is passed.

O R D E R

A] Bail Application is allowed.

B] The applicant be released on bail in C.R. No. 358 of 2022 registered at Neral Police Station, Dist. Raigad for the offences punishable under Sections 307 and 309 of the Indian Penal Code on furnishing P.R. Bond in the sum of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand) with one or two sureties in the like amount.
