The learned APP submits that the trial has commenced and the prosecution evidence is likely to be over within a period of three months. It is submitted that the application at this stage may not be entertained.

On the other hand, the learned counsel for the applicant submits that the applicant is in jail for more than seven years.

Considering the fact that the applicant in jail for more than seven years instead of not entertaining the present application, it would be appropriate to adjourn the matter for three months so that if the trial is not concluded by that time, prayer for bail can be considered.

List the application on 05.05.2025.
