Heard the learned counsel for the parties.

The applicant is in custody since the year 2016. Previous bail application being BA No. 1555 of 2023 was rejected by this Court by an order dated 12th March, 2024. However, liberty was granted to the applicant to revive the prayer for bail in the event trial was not concluded within a period of six months thereof. 3.

Ms. Vilasini, the learned counsel appointed to espouse the cause of the applicant, submits that there has not been substantial progress in the trial. According to her instructions, the evidence of the victim has been recorded.

Having regard to the nature of the accusations, it may be appropriate to have a report from the learned Special Judge seized with Session Case No. 822 of 2016, about the stage and progress of Vishal Parekar, PS ...1

The Registrar (Judicial) is requested to call report from the learned Special Judge within a period of two weeks. 6.
