Applicant is indicted for offences punishable under Sections 498A, 376, 354, 506(2) and 34 of Indian Penal Code, 1860 (for short 'IPC').

Respondent No.2 is the victim. Hence, issue notice to Respondent No.2. Humdast permitted. In addition to Court's notice, Applicant is directed to serve the Respondent No.2 a copy of this order and copy of the Application and inform Respondent No.2 about the next date of hearing by any permissible mode of service and file appropriate affidavit of service with tangible proof thereof. Mr. Karmakar waives service for Respondent No.1.

Considering the request made by Ms. Patil that Applicant is a government employee and is implicated and indicted by daughter-inlaw for offences which is lodged 4 months after the day of incident and which in the interregnum gave rise to another incident for which Applicant himself has lodged a report, I am inclined to take up this matter.

However, considering the service to be effected on Respondent No.2, list the matter on 21st February, 2025. To be placed under the caption 'For Directions'.
