The learned APP submits that the trial is at the stage of final argument and the present application therefore may not be entertained at this stage.

On the other hand, the learned counsel for the applicant submits that the offences are triable by Magistrate. The applicant is in jail for two years and eight months. 3.
Considering the fact that the trial is at the stage of final argument instead of entertaining the present application, it would be appropriate to direct the trial Court to conclude the trial within a period of two months.
