CORAM : GAURI GODSE, J.

DATED : 12th FEBRUARY 2025 ORDER :-

1.

I have decided a group of bail applications on 14th October 2024. The group of bail applications were listed before this Court as the regular Court had recused from hearing those applications. As an alternate bench, I had decided the group of bail applications. Hence, in view of the administrative circular dated 4th February 2025, all these bail applications were listed before this Court. 2.

Some of the applications were heard and adjourned at the request of Mr. Shishir Hiray, learned special PP, on various occasions. Lastly, on 24th January 2025, the applications were adjourned to 5th February 2025. On 5th February 2025, the applications were again adjourned to 7th February 2025 at the request of Mr. Hiray. Even on 7th February 2025, Mr.Shishir Hiray was not available. Hence, Mr. Venegaonkar, Chief Public Prosecutor had appeared and assured this Court to argue all the bail applications and at his request, the bail applications were listed today.

3.

However, today the order dated 7th February 2025 passed by Hon'ble Apex Court is brought to the notice of this Court. In view of the clarification issued by the Hon'ble Apex Court, these bail applications may not lie before this Court as the regular assignment is not before this Court. These bail applications are listed before this

Court only because of the administrative circular. Hence, it would therefore, be appropriate that the applications are listed before the appropriate Court.

4.

Learned Registrar (Judicial-I) is therefore requested to verify and seek permission from the Hon'ble Chief Justice for placing the applications before the appropriate Court.vc 5.

Since the applications have remained pending only because Mr. Shishir Hiray had requested for time on various occasions, the learned Registrar (Judicial-I) is requested to kindly expedite the process for listing the applications.
