By order dated 12th December 2023, this Court recorded that the Counsel for the Applicant, on instructions, sought permission to withdraw the earlier bail application, with liberty to file a fresh application if the trial does not progress substantially. Accordingly, the application was permitted to be withdrawn.

Today, Mr. Nitin Patil, learned Counsel for the Applicant, submits that till date, the trial is not completed. However, one 8th October 2025

31-BA-4991-2024.DOC witness is examined and is to undergo cross-examination on the next date.

Ms. Anuja Gotad, learned APP, on instructions, submits that the prosecution intends to examine 25 witnesses in all. Since the trial has progressed substantially from 12th December 2023 i.e. the earlier order permitting the Applicant to withdraw the earlier bail application, I am not inclined to grant any relief in the present application. However, the Trial Court is directed to conclude the trial within a period of six months from the date this order is presented before the Trial Court concerned.

In case, the trial is not completed within the stipulated time, the Applicant is at liberty to file a fresh application. 5.

The present bail application is disposed of.
