The applicant has raised the issue of juvenility, claiming to be a juvenile on the date of commission of the offence. 2.

The learned APP submits that, in the absence of a birth certificate or a school-leaving certificate, the only available option to determine the age of the applicant is to conduct an ossification test.

Hence, the Superintendent of Thane Central Jail is directed to ensure that the ossification test of the applicant is conducted within a period of three weeks from today.
