This is a bail application filed by the applicant under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023. The matter was taken up for hearing. Learned Advocate appearing for the applicant made submissions in support of the prayer for grant of bail. However, after hearing the submissions and upon a prima facie consideration of the material on record, this Court was not inclined to grant the relief as prayed.

At this stage, the learned Advocate for the applicant, on instructions, seeks permission to withdraw the present bail application with liberty to file a fresh application after a period of three months, in the event the trial is not completed within that
10-ba5127-2024.doc period. The request was made with an understanding of the consequences of such withdrawal.

In view of the above, the present bail application is allowed to be withdrawn.

It is informed by the learned APP, on instructions, that only two witnesses remain to be examined before the Trial Court. Hence, the Trial Court is directed to complete the trial within a period of three months from today.

However, the applicant shall be at liberty to revive the request for bail after a period of three months, in the event the trial is not completed within that period.
