By this application the applicant is seeking pre-arrest bail in connection with CR No.1752 of 2022 registered at Sakinaka Police Station, Mumbai, for the offences Page No. 1 of 3

punishable under Sections 384, 389, 406, 420, 419, 467, 468, and 500 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 66 and 67 of the Information Technology Act.

The essence of the First Information Report (FIR) is that the applicant was engaged in acts of blackmailing against the victim (respondent No.2) by making defamatory allegations pertaining to their alleged relationship. These actions are aimed at maligning her reputation, causing her mental distress, and damaging her social standing. 4.

At the outset, the learned APP representing respondent/ State submits that a 'C' Summary Report has already been filed by the prosecution before the trial Court. The prosecution does not want the custodial interrogation of the applicant. The prosecution is not intending to arrest the applicant in connection with the present matter. 5.

The learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the first informant has also submitted that the first informant has no no objection and expressly consented to the grant of anticipatory bail to the applicant.

In light of the above, the interim protection granted to Page No. 2 of 3

the applicant vide this Court's order dated 23 April 2024, stands confirmed on the same terms and conditions set out in the said order.
